MS Project - can a resource hourly cost change in mid-project and project maintains complete history?

To be more explicit: at the beginning of a project a resource is entered at $20 per hour. Half way through the project the same resource is now entered at $50 per hour. Can MS Project show both hourly costs for the same resource and when the change occurred? If so, how is this accomplished?

Go to the resource sheet view, and double-click on a resource to bring up the resource information dialogue box. Click on the costs tab, and look at the bottom part of the dialogue box. You will see a table into which you can enter different rates, and the dates the rates become effective.
