I have an automatic accord and am looking to put a 5sp trans in it but i dont know how much this will cost me.How much would a sex change cost for my 99 accord coupe?not to burst anyones bubbles but switching from auto to manual has some advantages. first off its a bit lighter, and i mean a bit, which equals better gas mileage. second off you can choose yourself when to change gears which can also equate to increased gas mileage, or just having some fun as long as you dont destroy the tranny. and as far as i know of it should practically be a direct swap for the tranny itself, you might have to have some fab work done so that the shifter can fit, (i dont know how an auto shifter is mounted since i dont own an auto car). also, manuals will last much longer than autos if you are careful with it. there are plenty of people who have put well over 200k miles on manual cars without ever changing the transmission fluid. personally i would at least change it once, that way some of the grinded metal from the gears (still gets grinded some no matter how much you baby the car, just the way it is with the gears constantly contacting each other).



as for the cost it depends, some people i believe have managed a swap for a 6 gear manual box but im not positive. trannys can run between 250-500 easily, depending on the condition. some places might allow a trade in and you pay the difference, in fact some places even install it either free of charge or for a small fee compared to going to a mechanic and paying a huge amount of money for them to do it. or if you or someone you know has worked on trannys for quite some time and are confident in doing the work, its even cheaper.

You can do it yourself for about $35-$40, if you don't want to or can't and go to a shop to have your oil changed, ask them what they include in their oil change that makes it so much. The best advice you will get is that you should talk to a doctor about this, who will, if you are serious, refer you to a psychiatrist. The psychiatrist will, in turn assess you for a year or so, before taking serious steps and make this happen for real. If you are genuinely serious and understand just what this involves and what a huge step it is to take, you can have this procedure done for free under the NHS system in the UK. Make no mistake, this will not happen if you are only considering it because something has recently upset you. If you do it, the medical assessment team will make sure that you are in this for the long term - and this will mean at least a year of consultations, medications, living as a woman (dressing, etc) before you even get near an operating table.



You can pay privately by going overseas. But this will cost huge amounts of money, and is an irreversible procedure. Remember if you are serious that once you do this, there is no going back. Just from a sexual perspective for example, you will never be able to make love to a woman again, and there is a real chance you may not even be able to experience orgasm ever again. I wouldn't recommend 2 little bars, because if you do decide to switch to a big bar later down the road, it may not line up right. My best advice to you is to call the place you plan on getting pierced at. Or call a few places and just simply ask. The price varies a lot depending on where you go.



Good luck with it though. They are very hard to keep clean and it is really sore for awhile. I've had mine over 2 months, and it still hurts to sleep on that side. So they need ballasts, or ignitors, which supply the sudden burst of energy when you turn them on. The kit I got came with the Xenon bulbs, and ignitors for both. They looked really nice in my car, but I found them interfering with my FM radio reception and they brought out some other electrical niggles in my car that I did not appreciate. So I took them out. I paid $60 for the kit.
