plus work and wire (wire is #10 3 conductor with a ground [approx $.50 a foot])How much would it cost to change the voltage of an outlet?before getting too het up,,, have someone check your wall for a 220 cable!! usually when houses are built they will run a 220 line to that area where the gas line is,, it may just be a cable laying on the bottom or may have a connection box that was covered up for later use such as you wish to do now!! if you are talking about a designated laundry room then this is probably what they did!!!!
